Medprint 2007 chooses Rome - The reference exhibition for graphic arts in Central and Southern Italy improves thanks to the Capital's new exhibition complex

Medprint, the exhibition of technologies for the Mediterranean printing, publishing and paper converting industry, is the first event dedicated to machinery and equipment to gain new growth possibilities by moving to the new Fiera di Roma exhibition complex. The organizer, Centrexpo spa, has taken the opportunity offered by the Capital's newly-built fairgrounds, located in a strategic position in the Fiumicino area. It is very well connected thanks to the highway network and the nearby Rome International Airport.

This decision will take effect starting from the next edition in 2007 (April 19th - 22nd). It will allow the show of technologies for the Mediterranean printing, publishing and paper converting industry to express its full potential, which in the past edition in Naples, 2004, yielded 14,000 visitors (a 30% increase compared to the 2002 edition) attracted by 400 exhibitors and a 9.000 sqm net exhibiting surface.

The innovative characteristics of the new Rome fairgrounds will boost up the show: The Complex will open officially in April 2006 and starting from September it will have an exhibiting surface of 140.000 sqm. New opportunities will be created from the quality and quantity of space available in the most recently-designed exhibition complex in Europe: it will therefore be possible to arrange a more innovative exhibiting layout, satisfying the needs of an enlarging user pool. Medprint, besides being easily reached by the traditional Southern public, will also be closer to the many Central Italian graphic companies and better connected with other Mediterranean Basin countries.

Centrexpo's choice has deserved the full approval by the manufacturers and users associations Acimga, Assografici e Argi, which have highlighted Medprint as a crucial event in the graphic arts industry for Central and Southern Italy.
