Assografici president Marco Spada to lead Medprint 2007

An outstanding leader for the next edition of the exhibition of technologies for the Mediterranean printing, publishing and paper converting industry, which will have its debut in Rome from April 19 to 22.

A prestigious location and an exceptional leader: the president of Assografici (the Italian Printing and Paper Converting Industries Association) Marco Spada has been entrusted with the leadership of Medprint 2007, the next edition of the reference exhibition for graphic arts in Central and Southern Italy, which will take place for the first time at the brand new Fiera di Roma from April 19th to 22nd.

For the Mediterranean exhibition of technologies for the printing, publishing and paper converting industry, the organizers have great plans: first of all, enlarging its catchment area, thanks to Rome's proximity to the most important representatives of the printing industry in Central Italy and the city's excellent connections with Mediterranean countries; second, taking advantage of the high-quality services provided by the Capital's new exhibition complex; and now choosing, as president of the exhibition, an outstanding member of the Users' community, an industrial leader in the printing and communication industry and former president of the 2006 edition of Grafitalia and Converflex Europe.

Mr. Spada, 52 years old, university degree in Economy and Trade, has gained international experience in Arthur Andersen, London; since 1992 he leads the family printing company, Fratelli Spada SpA, in which he has been involved since in 1980 and which he has developed into a company-service system exhaustively covering the communication needs of its clients.

Such a prestigious presidency is an important element in order to allow Medprint to express its full potential; in 2004, its last edition, this meant over 14.000 visitors, a 30% increase compared to the preceding edition, who have been attracted by 400 exhibitors and a net exhibiting surface of 9.000 sqm.

The exhibition is organized by Centrexpo Spa and promoted by Acimga (Italian Manufacturers Association of Machinery for the Graphic, Converting and Paper Industry), Assografici (the Italian Printing and Paper Converting Industries Association) and Argi (Italian Representatives' Association of Graphic Arts Machinery Systems and Product Distributors), which have all highlighted Medprint as the main event for the graphic arts industry in Central and Southern Italy.
