Medprint to display high-tech and know-how in Rome
The next edition of the exhibition, from April 19th to 22nd, will host the Digital Printing Forum - first shot on events
Display of equipment and, at the same time, of know-how right at hand for market players: the next edition of Medprint, from April 19th to 22nd at the new Fiera di Roma, will be focused on fulfilling the needs of a score of small and medium-sized companies which usually do not visit the great exhibitions held in the northern regions of the country. The graphic and printing industry in Central and Southern Italy is particularly lively: it is made up by a few, important industrial poles concentrated in the Central regions, and by a great majority of small to very small companies, characterized by willingness to invest and innovate.
The fourth edition of the exhibition of technologies for the Mediterranean printing, publishing and paper converting industry represents a great opportunity for these companies to update on new technology. The list already includes over 200 companies and all the industry's main brands (see www.medprint.it for a complete list of new entries). A rich program of side events is also being finalized.
Here is a preview of the meetings scheduled during the fourth edition of Medprint; the partnership between Centrexpo and "4it", which organizes the Digital Printing Forum will present to printing professionals this effective, innovative interaction between machinery producers and final users. The meeting is scheduled for the afternoon on the opening day, April 19th. Experts of leading companies in digital equipment and machinery manufacturing will hold demonstrations of applications and practices, which will be further developed during the Digital Printing Lab, in a special area equipped for demos.
The schedule of events already includes highly specialized seminars, as those promoted by Atif, the Italian Association for the Development of Flexo Printing ("Calibration and tolerance in photopolymer matrices" and "Managing color in flexo printing" are the titles of the seminars). Medprint will also host official meetings of the most qualified trade associations: companies specialized in label production, members of Assografici-Gipea, will hold their third meeting with the label manufacturing companies of Central and Southern Italy on Saturday April 21st. On April 20th Gipea will hold a general assembly for its associates. Cna Grafica, which gathers craftwork companies, has scheduled a training day on April 20th and will call a General Council of the Union on April 21st.
